Forum Times Two

Because of a recent influx of new members and requests for new culinary categories, I’ve decided to keep the “old” Shenanchie’s Food Forum (having re-named it Food Fare after the web site I’m about to delete), while establishing the new message board as well.

The “old” forum now reflects food and recipes in general; I’ve already deleted the entire food culture category. The “new” forum will feature food and recipes from Ireland and Great Britain, along with the specialty categories.

It may sound a bit confusing, but I think it will work out rather well. Actually, once the forums are set up they are fairly easy to maintain. I usually post only when someone has a specific question, or when I have an announcement of some kind. For example, I noticed recently that some people were posting non-food-related items, such as links to marketing sites or individuals trying to hawk their products online. Since the forum is hosted for free, anyone is capable of setting up their own so I posted the following message:

Recently I have become aware of people visiting the forum and leaving links that advertise their products or services. Unless the links are cooking and recipe related, I'd rather people did not use the forum as a place where they can advertise their own products or services for free.

This forum is without charge through Sudden Launch. Anyone who needs to start their own forum in order to advertise can feel free to do so, but please don't place the miscellaneous links here at the Food Fare forum.

Any links I find that fall along these lines will be deleted.

However, for the most part people are honestly interested in cuisine and have no hidden agenda. Sounds rather menacing, but it’s basically simple – very quick and easy for me to maintain.
