Suppers-in-a-Box

Campbell’s has come out with a variety of packaged dinners titled Supper Bakes. Flavors include Cheesy Chicken with Pasta, Garlic Chicken with Pasta, Herb Chicken with Rice, Lemon Chicken with Herb Rice, Savory Pork Chops with Herb Stuffing, and Southwestern-Style Chicken with Rice. Of course you provide the meat, but prepared meals of good quality beat cooking during the summer.

I definitely plan on trying the suppers-in-a-box; if they are as good as Banquet’s Homestyle Bakes, they will save me a lot of time in the kitchen while the August sun melts everything in it’s path.

Just what is the difference between “supper” and “dinner” anyway?

Supper is a light evening meal; served in early evening if dinner is at midday or served late in the evening at bedtime. Dinner is the main meal of the day served in the evening or at midday. However, in certain regions of the US (like the New England); the words are used interchangeably for the main evening meal.
