As some of you know, I have sometimes blogged here different "thought-cartoons". That is, a description of a cartoon, such that you have to create the picture in your mind. I merely supply the caption and a description of the picture...

As I was drifting off to sleep last night, one of these came to me. I believe there was a travelogue about Venice on the TV and I got to thinking of "venetian blinds".

Of course, a "blind" is: "a place of concealment; especially : a concealing enclosure from which one may shoot game or observe wildlife"...

Therefore, I pictured several hunters in neck-high weeds, guns in hand, with gondolas in the background...

Canal you get that one, or are you just gondolier?
