So it's April already.

My permit expired in 2 and a half months.

Damn I've been lazy.

The smart thing to do would be to get lessons this coming weekend. I'm going to shoot for that. Of course, it would mean skipping on going with friends from my hometown to see one of my highschool friends get married, but I am still not sure of the logistical reality of me making that trip anyways.

We'll see how it goes. Countdown to when my permit expired.... Will she make it?

This is another reason why I have been considering just buying a car and paying the extra insurance for not having the liscense yet. Any other suggestions?

My commute over the past two days has been much more interesting than the usual "sit, read, or sleep" routine. Yesterday, I was running late because I had to stop at the store to get some heat wraps and patches for my back (which is much better today, and I don't smell like granny's arthritis rub today either) and decided that I was going to go to the gym (even though I didn't) and would bring my CD Walkman. So I took a different route, and I was listeding to my new Danny Elfman Songs for a Darkened Theater CDs (compilations of various themes and tv/movie tracks that he has done). I found myself people watching and just city watching. Los Angeles looks more interesting when set against a soundtrack ala Danny. Watching traffic flow during the Batman track, when it's cloudy and dark-ish, or people shuffling in and out of a bus or riding bikes on the sidewalk during the Pee Wee's Big Adventure opening, or driving by a school during the Simpsons and Nightmare Before Christmas tracks.

Danny Elfman must have a weird perspective on life.
