So, even though there wasn't going to be an "official" release of the info until after midnight, Yahoo, and Reuters let the cat out of the bag. My company has filed for Chapter 11.

What does this mean to me? Quite a few things. It means that I have employees who are on edge a little more than normal. I've gotta keep it together so they don't fall apart. It means that theres a lot up in the air as far as job security, but not enough in the air to be truly panicking. I'm an optimist, always have been, so other than making sure my resume is up to date and standing by and considering a delay on purchasing a car, I'm still working hard and playing things business as usual.

Of course, after the two official meetings tomorrow, all this may change. :)

Driving lesson tonight, as Monday's lesson was cancelled by the school. My plan is to pass my test next week and be an official driver. :) Go me!

I'm looking at new Saturns right now as far as a first car, possibly an Ion, as well as the hybrid Toyota Prius, but we'll see what I wind up with. What I really want is a purple PT Cruiser, but that may be too much car for my first car.
