First, BOFH. Yes, BOFH. Tech humor with a European edge. You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll reminisce about those days of debating which OS was better because it was "the cool thing to do" with this one. Make sure you're not drinking anything you wouldn't want coming out of your nose as you read. (I know, quite charming eh?) Second, mmmmmm, soy sauce. Weird commercial link brought to you by Neil Gaiman's post yesterday. (His journal is a good read BTW for those of you looking for cool stuff to read) Okay, enough of that sillyness, on with the good stuff. Highlights from the past few days: Both of Erik's shows went really well. Sunday's performances were the BEST of all shows, but alas, were also the last performances of the two plays. I was very impressed with "Black Comedy" and if you ever get a chance to see a production of that, DO IT! More dentist ASSITUDE! Went to a game Friday night, and of course, it went quite late. Had to go to the dentist early Saturday morning to get the 600+ dollar onlay (a piece of porcelin that fits on the tooth like a puzzle piece) done. Saturday morning went as follows:
Saturday was not a total loss. We watched Comic Book, The Movie later in the day, then there was the play that evening which was great, and then we took my friend Nick to Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Nuart. It was really fun, very nostalgic, and very amusing to see the reaction of someone who had NO CLUE what the movie was or what they were getting into. Sunday was "The Wizard of Speed And Time" which was rented from CineFile, next to the Nuart. if you're ever looking for hard to find, our of print, old or foriegn movies, that is your place to find them. "The Wizard Of Speed And Time" was interesting. It was wacky, and funny, and just plain weird at times. I would like to describe it, but would leave you all going "Huh?" so I won't even try. :) The rest of Sunday was shows, and then a visit with Sheldon who stopped by the theater. Last night was karaoke, where I blew everyone away with "When You're Good To Mama" and then some "Enter Sandman" to bring the house down. I think it was the most crowded I have seen that place, but I am sure they made an ass ton of money in tips. Bar tab was lower than usual, as I relegated myself to water due to the fact that I was a pint low as I had given blood earlier in the day (was rescheduled from last week) and didn't want to make myself sick. Whew, that was a long post. And to leave you all with a poem *takes a bow* Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
