Each night is restless, coming out of and going back into some weird stress-dreams, a different type of theme for each night so far. It was really lame because they were weekend nights, I haven't been stressed really, and the stuff that I stress about in my restless dreaming is really stupid stuff. Anyone ever get those dreams that keep you awake for no reason?
So, Saturday, I meant to do more exercise during the day but did not. I did run around a lot at the LARP Saturday evening. All of the game stuff was OK, but lacked a bit in the action department. I did get to show off a bit of bad-ass during the evening. I’m glad I’m having fun with the game again. I was mostly running around and chasing a friend’s 3 year old when not In character. I was playing some sort of hide-from-the-parents-and-larpers-lets-run-this-way-and-that-way game off and on during the game, and for about a full hour after the game. He was the coolest little kid. His name was Conner, he was very smart and talkative. When it came to about 1:30 AM, he was still full of energy (he had apparently been sitting in a car and on a plane all day) but I had to depart with my group. We were walking to the car when Conner comes running after me, wanting to give me a hug and a kiss on the cheek to thank me for playing with him. It was soooooo cute! So, I think, since that lasted to 1:30, that the activity counts for Saturday and Sunday. Right? Sunday I did a lot of computer work and a lot of watching Smallville, after coming home from hanging out with my sister that morning. I ate fairly conscientiously that day, except for maybe the In N Out burger, but hey, those are not that bad. Mental note: Running around is fun. Running around with kids is fun. Running around in heeled shoes, not real fun for the feet the next day. So today and yesterday have been busy work-wise. Yesterday I don’t recall making any good, consciously healthy actions. I pretended to eat healthy, but in reality probably didn’t’ do much better than usual. Today, after eating lunch, I came to the office to find mounds of thanksgiving-type food. Apparently over twice the amount that was needed for today's meetings was ordered, leaving much good lookin food around. I picked at a little bit when I really shouldn't have, but mashed potatoes and gravy, good mac-n-cz,really good stuffing, all difficult to pass by. Lots of free sodas there too. I've tried to stay away from soda for the most part, but it was calling to me... At the last minute, I decided that Coke, after everything else I've eaten, was too much sugar and calories... so I reached for the "next best thing" which was Diet Coke. I simply cannot wrap my head around why some people can drink this all the time *cough*Erik*cough* because it is fine every now and then but really, after one small can, I totally didn’t want any more. It’s kind of refreshing, but it doesn’t have the thirst quench of water, and doesn’t have the satisfying bite and sweetness of real Coke. Healthy activity plans for today: maybe a half hour or so of jump rope or mini-stepper. Read/Post Comments (6) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
