2005-12-01 8:10 AM And before you know it... it's frickin December Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Contemplative Read/Post Comments (3) So posting on my dare kinda petered out after Thanksgiving. I got into the habit of doing healthy lunches or bringing lunch, but hadn't gotten much else accomplished healthy-wise according to my dare. I don't think I did so bad altogether on it though. Go me!
I'm really glad that I brought my lunch today because when I took my bus money out of my wallet, I left my wallet at home. Grr. My company will be giving free flu shots today to any employee who wants one. I've been in a bit of debate, as I am just getting over a slight cold. Other than a little stuffy though, I feel OK, and should probably just get it taken care of. I've never gotten a flu shot before, so this will be a first for me. Yesterday I attended one of the meetings that my company was having to discuss our benefits packages and re-enrollment for the year. Costs have gone up for the company but not for employees themselves, and a review of the coverage has renewed my appreciation for this job, like no fees for my own complete coverage, low fees for Erik's coverage that he makes up for by simply paying the cable bill, and things like a flat 50 bucks for an emergency room visit. Not that I ever plan on having to go to the emergency room but if it happened, it wouldn't break me. Work has been busy, but it has been letting up due to people being gone for the holidays and projects winding down for the year. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to help someon who is using a Mac from home to connect to a Windows network drive after connecting through VPN. Its difficult walking someone through Mac steps when I haven't used one in forever and I don't have access to one here. Fun stuff. Sheesh, already December. Been a busy year. I've got 6 weeks left to get my license or I'll have to get a new permit. I need to light some fires under people, myself included, to get theater company stuff taken care of. Due to several things, it's been dragging a bit and needs to not be. I've got to find outwhere my company gets the morning fruit from. I can never find grapes this crunchy and sweet at the store. Yum! Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
