Enjoy the ride. Currently, I live in a small 'crossroad' town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm raising a wonderful son, cultivating a promissing career in Real Estate and enjoying every day! I'm involved in many community activities, charitable organizations and do LOTS of Yoga! Life is a great ride. Things change, I adapt and follow the 'road' with love and humility. 2004-06-18 8:47 PM Eine Kleine Engel “Eine Kleine Engel” is what my Grandmother Marie says to her Great-Grandson Allex. It means "my little angel" in German. The funny thing is that's what I've been calling him - my little angel. He looks like an angel when he is sleeping. A baby is one of the most angelic, peaceful, and innocent beings. They know of nothing bad, or good, for that matter. The concepts are unknown to them at this point. They are a blank slate. They mimic what you teach them.
Rose Kennedy said, "Whenever I held my baby newborn, I used to think that what I did and said could have an influence, not only on him, but on all whom he met, not only for a day or a month or a year, but for all eternity - a very challenging and exciting thought for a mother." I agree. A very exciting and challenging thought! I like to hold Allex up against my shoulder, and let him look around, absorbing all of the new sites. I whisper in his ear, as he stares intently out the window, and pretend he understands every word. Who knows how much he does? But, I will continue to whisper to him as he grows. He understands more every day. I look forward to teaching him everything I know and love. One day he will be old. And when he is, I hope he will look back on his life and see that he helped make the world a better place. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
