Enjoy the ride.

Currently, I live in a small 'crossroad' town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I'm raising a wonderful son, cultivating a promissing career in Real Estate and enjoying every day! I'm involved in many community activities, charitable organizations and do LOTS of Yoga! Life is a great ride. Things change, I adapt and follow the 'road' with love and humility. • Christmas Eve Dinner

We stayed home for Christmas this year and it was very nice. We had Brett, Wendy & Spencer over for dinner on Christmas Eve. And I cooked! Besides all the yummy fixings, I made my first apple pie! And it turned out pretty darn good. Yay :-)

First, we sat by a roaring fire, drinking wine, listening to big band christmas music, while the boys played with their new trucks in the glow of the lights.

Next, we had a traditional dinner, with silver, crystal and candles. In my cute house, it was far from stuffy, it was and cheerful and celeberatory (sp?). Allex and I playfully call holiday meals like this, "A Feast!" The boys were sooo good - they had such good manners - they passed dishes, said please and thank you, they ate their food well and drank from small crystal glasses without breaking them! (I think that's great for 3 and 4 year olds.)

After dinner, the boys played and watched movies while we played Poker! Brett is a great player and he gave Wendy and I lots of good tips. (I'm hooked on Poker right now. I've got to get ready for Vegas! Brett, Wendy and I are going in May for the ACM's and we plan to play big money!)

They went home about 10:30 and we went to bed and waited for Santa. The next morning Allex, hardly awake, asked excitedly, which present should I open first??? With his hair touseled, we opened them one by one and played together all morning long. It was perfect and precious!
