I'm a web developer for NOVICA. I'm fascinated by languages, even though I only speak English and a little Spanish. I can count in Korean and have numerous language and linguistics books. I'm living within walking distance of CSUN where I share an apartment with my girlfriend and 2 cats. I'm happy. I write sporadically (I really need to finish that short story), with every intention of making a living at it at an undisclosed point in the future. I taught physics at Emperor's College Winter Term 2008. I love games and stories and music and computers and science and "and." I drink my coffee 100% black 80% of the time and 80% black 20% of the time. Also, there are other things. 7332 42

We met at 7:30 for our weekly Black Belt Beach party Sunday morning. After running through all the material, we packed up and headed to Manhattan Beach to catch up with Scott. The Marine layer had delayed the start of the surfing competition, so we were able to see his second run of the day. This was my first time to watch a surfing competition from the beach. It was very cool. 2 green flags were set up on the beach to indicate the boundaries of the competition. The horn sounded, and Scott paddled out with the other surfers. He had 15 min to surf, and was judged on his top 2 waves. Scott got the first wave, and had the longest run of the heat. Mr. Santiago got a bunch of great pictures on his digital camera, which I'll post soon. That turned out to be the only good wave that Scott rode, but he came in 2nd, and thus moved on to the finals.

We were there to support Scott, and continue reviewing material. Scott is in our black belt graduating class.
