I'm a web developer for NOVICA. I'm fascinated by languages, even though I only speak English and a little Spanish. I can count in Korean and have numerous language and linguistics books. I'm living within walking distance of CSUN where I share an apartment with my girlfriend and 2 cats. I'm happy. I write sporadically (I really need to finish that short story), with every intention of making a living at it at an undisclosed point in the future. I taught physics at Emperor's College Winter Term 2008. I love games and stories and music and computers and science and "and." I drink my coffee 100% black 80% of the time and 80% black 20% of the time. Also, there are other things. 7332 42 | ||

2008-03-04 9:41 AM Catching Up I can't believe it's been this long since I posted here...okay, for my first post of 2008, in no particular order:
Novica has added RSS feeds. You can keep track of products as they're added to the site, by Artist (Yuli), region (Mexico) or category (sculpture). I wrote a short story over the weekend, I'm calling Singularity Pie. I like it a lot and I'm going to add a few bits I forgot to record ... this story came FAST. I'd been trying to explain to someone why I was fascinated by Verner Vinge and in close proximity temporally, trying to explain my plans for creating a genre I'm calling Metaphysical Hacking. And then I ate a yummy bagel and it all came together. My WoW guild has gotten rather large. A ton of people that are at least one degree away from someone else in the guild. Kids of members are joining. Parents of members are joining. Significant others are being roped in. Lots of learning is going on, and in the process of teaching, the veterans are really coming to terms with their classes. It's quite fun to watch. Last Friday we formed up a raid and held a 2 hour enchanting party in front of the Darnasas bank. MANY skill points were earned. Many people learned the joy of glowy weapons. the guild now runs faster, has more health, hits harder and in general feels more comfortable asking for enchants. Quite successful overall. I have been a little more active updating my twitter account peace Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
