I'm a web developer for NOVICA. I'm fascinated by languages, even though I only speak English and a little Spanish. I can count in Korean and have numerous language and linguistics books. I'm living within walking distance of CSUN where I share an apartment with my girlfriend and 2 cats. I'm happy. I write sporadically (I really need to finish that short story), with every intention of making a living at it at an undisclosed point in the future. I taught physics at Emperor's College Winter Term 2008. I love games and stories and music and computers and science and "and." I drink my coffee 100% black 80% of the time and 80% black 20% of the time. Also, there are other things. 7332 42 | ||

Mood: Excited Read/Post Comments (0) |
2008-03-10 9:10 AM The commute There's still a lot of unpacking before my new apartment is the haven I envision. The cats took to it and are as affectionate as I've ever experienced them. The new fridge is VERY conducive to our goal of cooking more and being as healthy as possible as we do. Particularly the ample storage for fruits and vegetables in clear humidity regulated drawers.
My biggest dread with respect to this move was the added commute for me. I left the apartment around 7 and got in the office a little after 8, which means I can probably leave a bit later than 7 to get in at 9. It was actually a joy to hear an ENTIRE KPFK show instead of just the halves of 2 stories. I grabbed a cup of coffee before getting on the freeway and I feel much more alert at 9 than I have in a long while. We'll see how it goes, but I'm particularly excited about working my way through Escape Pod over the next months. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
