Words-of-Mine No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.279944 Curiosities served |

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "A hug is a perfect gift - one size fits all, and nobody minds if you exchange it." - Ivern Ball ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Oligarchy - noun 1: government by the few 2: a government in which a small group exercises control especially for corrupt and selfish purposes; New word for old methods used by the few to govern the many. Many years ago, I read the book by Taylor Caldwell, "Captains and the Kings." In this book it talked about a group who conspired as to who would be elected president. I read that then and believed the idea immediately because it sure seemed like control over and between Nixon and Carter. That whole situation seemed very controlled in that they had their man in power and he got caught doing the unthinkable. Next in line is a man (who seemed to me to be a puppet) who seems to have ideals, admits to lust, and tries to bring decency back to the office of president. Jimmy is a good guy you have to admit and he has done some good things in the world. Let us come back to today. I will begin with, I have know wish to offend anyone but if you feel it coming on, go to the next page. Oligarchy is exactly what we will get if Romney is voted in as president. It will be him and his cronies running the government. I bet he will treat the job just as he did Bain Capitol and look where that got several of those companies. Oh well, let's move on shall we, no sense beating a dead horse. . . Did everyone see Jay Leno last night with President Obama? The President was just splendid and he really is a funny guy. He seemed so at home and not a bit nervous. I especially liked the questions from Jay's FB fans and from the audience. Two choice comments Jay inquired of the President: 1. It was something about Trump's latest shove at the President. Mr. Obama replied that all this began on the soccer fields in Kenya. Things had not gone well for Trump. 2. A question from the audience: How do you get over Romnesia? Response: Obamacare covers preexisting conditions. These questions are not verbatim but close enough. I did like the fact that President Obama several times asked everyone to exercise their right to vote regardless of how they were voting. I do so hope Mr. Obama is our president for another four years. IMHO. Now can we all just get along and follow today's quote. I went back through my date book looking for my walking notes. I found that today made number eight not six days of walking. We did not go at "o" dark thirty this morning. We both are feeling very exhausted and not wanting to get up. So instead we slept in a little bit longer. Needless to say, last night we fell asleep in our respective futon and chair and woke up around 3:15 a.m. and then went to bed. mz. em ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Currently reading: -- "Possession - A Romance" - A.
