Words-of-Mine No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.279983 Curiosities served |

Waning Crescent Moon in Pisces ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "Be courteous, be obliging, but don't give yourself over to be melted down for the benefit of the tallow trade." ~ George Eliot ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I was shot out of bed this morning. Why you may ask. It was a few minutes before 8:30 a.m. The time we leave for the food bank. I threw some sweatpants over my pj's to cover the fact I had just left my bed. We definitely wanted to be there today because they were handing out provisions for next week since the food bank day is on the 25th. Luckily I was awake by the time we arrived at the church. I still could have gone back to sleep easily enough. But, it was nice to see everyone and get a hug. The other nice thing was the fact there was sunshine out and not rain as predicted. Then, of course, we received a ham for Yule. Yea! +++++++++ It is nice to feel better today than yesterday. I wish I could get my head wrapped around the fact I am going to have down days. Instead of moaning and groaning about it, acknowledge it, accept it, and then take action. Those are the three "As." It could be the change in the barometric pressure, the sunshine, or just because today I feel better. Of course, I did make my Monday night meeting and I always feel better after a meeting. Plus, it didn't hurt that a member came up to me afterwards and thanked me for my sharing and how I include the new comers in my share of what's in store for them and they in turn will be helping the newcomers who come behind them. Talk about lifting my spirits. +++++++++ I can't believe I did this but I have downloaded some of Taylor Swift's music. I don't much care for her but she has come out with songs I like. Speaking of music, to those of you who write, do you write better and more when you're listening to music? Or, do you like to have it silent? I have to say I like it better with music but when I have the apartment to myself, silence really is golden. +++++++++ Brazen Hussy I Am I was listening to Toby Keith's song "God Love Her" and it reminded me of the times with Michael and I out on the motorcycle. On our first day together, I invited him down to the local bar to buy him a soda in repayment for his assistance. When done, I asked him, "What now?" He shrugged his shoulders. I said, "Let's go for a ride?" Meaning, taking a ride on his motorcycle and he concluded that would be fun. Away we went. Michael wasn't used to a hussy just asking for what she wanted. Granted, I knew the response could have been no but it wasn't. Whooeee that was a great ride! At the end he brought me home. He left me with a phone number and a kiss that took my breath away. Later, I called that number to be sure it was a good number. It was and you know the rest of the story. +++++++++ With that I shall close until tomorrow. Come by for a cuppa of coffee or tea. mz. em ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Currently reading: -- "Possession - A Romance" - A. S. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn, English entrepreneur and philosopher ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
