I don't even know where to start. I just received a phone call from a friend whose husband died this morning.

I knew he had been ill with cancer and things were becoming worse. I knew he would eventually die. I didn't know he would die this morning.

I asked if that man of mine and I could come over and do whatever. She replied no.

What does one do at a time like this?
