We thought, as we are (im)patiently awaiting the return of our TV, Mr. F found an older TV on Free Cycle for free. It is an older TV not a flat screen. The owner said it worked.

Our prayers had been answered.

Not.

Setting it up we learn, we can only get one channel. The image is grainy. Our rabbit ears only help a bit.

It's an eight-year-old TV and I wonder if the owner had it hooked up to cable or satellite?

It does seem to be able to show DVDs but we haven't followed this up so more checking to do.

Maybe this lesson is free isn't always free.

If we don't get it working we are taking it to the recycling yard.

Our TV will be here in less than 10 days.
