Words-of-Mine No matter what the day brings, deep down I know it really is a good day because I have the man of my dreams, a kitty who loves me, a roof over my head and I live in paradise.280149 Curiosities served |

It is sunny out today and the temperature is in the mid-70s. I'm glad to be living in paradise. I send prayers to those of you who live in snow country. Once upon a time, I loved living there too. I have a man who loves me and can make a great cup of coffee. I don't cook but today I had the gumption to make cauliflower soup. With some suggestions from my good friend Bex at Thoughts From Crow Cottage, my soup turned out and Mr. F says I can make this again. You know it has to be good when he says that as he knows from experience I have made some weird stuff over the years. Entertainment was brought when Bailey the Cat saw the shadow of a bird on the blinds and leaped off his cat tree into the blinds. Scaring the daylights out of us, we find him hanging by his front paws in the blinds. Mr. F went to his rescue. Thank heavens none of the blades were broken. He has all ready broke four of them at the edges so he has a peep hole to the outdoors. Went to the store for non-edible items: Drain cleaner, paper towels, zip bags and such. Good thing - we stayed within budget. Did anyone see the Gemini meteor shower last night? I went out a couple of times but didn't see a thing. I am grateful for my computer because between last night and today, we watched the season finales of our favorite shows on TV. Then we watched some movies on DVDs. Life is different without a TV but we are adapting. Wow, it is 3:58 p.m. California time. Got to get ready for Sunday Night Football! Since I love trees, I want to share the poem below: Trees I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree. A tree whose hungry mouth is prest Against the earth's sweet flowing breast; A tree that looks at God all day, And lifts her leafy arms to pray; A tree that may in summer wear A nest of robins in her hair; Upon whose bosom snow has lain; Who intimately lives with rain. Poems are made by fools like me, But only God can make a tree. Joyce Kilmer mz. em "There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy.Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living." -- Jose N. Harris, MI VIDA CURRENT MOON ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ "I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again." - William Penn, English entrepreneur and philosopher +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
