This makes you wonder what he was called before he carried Christ across the river. But he wasn't called anything because this is an apocryphal story which means it was a lie, too. Mother used to say that it meant Christopher was a nice name because it was a story about being kind and helpful, but I do not want my name to mean a story about being kind and helpful. I want my name to mean me." -From "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time" by Mark Haddon It seems to me that no human tongue has the word to describe a person. Anybody at all. "Joe" "Harry" "Xiao Ming" "Mary" "Xiao Hua" Brings to mind Rev 2:17 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it. " THAT name will say it all. Read/Post Comments (3) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
