Give a man a raise and he's happy. Until he decides he wants more items with a larger price tag. Then he's not happy until he gets the next raise. Humans have an insatiable appetite. "All man's efforts are for his mouth, yet his appetite is never satisfied" Ecclesiastes 6:7 "Death and Destruction are never satisfied, and neither are the eyes of man" Proverbs 27:20 What about those who have been shown grace? Are we like the servant in Matthew 28? How quickly we become accustomed to the extraordinary. How quickly we become bored with the amazing. How quickly we lost interest with what was scintillating only yesterday. It is a great thing to be excited. Life is killed by the mundane.
