Ashley Ream Dispatches from the City of Angels I'm a writer and humorist living in and writing about Los Angeles. You can catch my novel LOSING CLEMENTINE out March 6 from William Morrow. In the meantime, feel free to poke around. Over at my website you can find even more blog entries than I could fit here, as well as a few other ramblings. Enjoy and come back often. |

2009-01-12 8:16 PM Don't reach out and touch me Nobody e-mail me. Seriously. No, really. Don't. I beg of you.
With my recent family emergency, my inbox did not get the usual care and feeding. If it was a house plant, it would've died. Hell, if it was a small child, it would've died. If you could not answer "yes" to both of the following questions: 1) Are you related to me? 2) Are you, at this moment, on fire? Chances are, I didn't write you back. Until today. Today, I wrote you back. Dozens of you. I wrote you about workshops and conferences and treasurer's reports and *board meetings. Please don't reply. Even if I asked you a question, don't reply. My inbox is, at this very moment, sparkling...ARGH! Someone just e-mailed me. Oh, God. I read it. It involves work. And a reply. Someone save me. *Nobody told me being a writer was going to involve board meetings. I was just in it for the chicks. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
