If only life was so immediately transparent. The only way I know it can be is through faith. Even that takes work and stumbling, however peaceful the practice is.
Something larger than life. That which makes all natural things be, without thinking of being. That which makes water both gentle and powerful. That which gives man an edge over his fears. It is good, and good will always bear fruit. Alan Watts knows that belief is clinging, while faith is letting go. Just as we let go of each breath we take. Lao Tzu reminds us that to be fully present in life, we must not fear our deaths; if we want to live, we have to LET ourselves die. If we want to know, we have to let ourselves not know. Not knowing is having faith. Art, such as a movie or one's journal, is bred from the soul. What's bred from the soul is fruit borne from faith, and of that there is an endless supply. There is also an attraction to it. So, I guess I liked the movie then. I did. I already want to see it again. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
