I remind the kids that I'm the boss around here. It's worked with Rachel, but Lloyd's a completely different story. He's independent. If he even understood what I meant by "boss" he'd have to think of himself as one too.

I just put him for a nap, not HIS nap, which would imply napping to be a regular thing for him, but a potential nap. A nap I'm really hoping for.

He questioned my action and I answered smartly but not rude that I was the boss. As I headed out of the room I heard him say, "the boss goes Honk! Honk!"
