2007-01-06 10:01 PM Believers Previous Entry :: Next Entry Read/Post Comments (4) So, everyone in my class believes in aliens. Belief is clinging. When I suggested we may be communicating with the extraterrestrial every time we sneeze no one liked it.
Really, with all life's intricacies, from the tiniest--a booger, sea monkeys (on my windowsill), embarrassed red cheeks, a celebrity's autograph--to the massive--a magnetosphere, high-fiving Jupiter for saving our asses from impacts, the Goldilocks Phenomenon, the time it takes to travel in space, oxygen, um...liquid water--there is meaning. Aliens don't make sense to me. Rather, finding them doesn't make sense. And when I said aliens don't make sense people threw religion at me. I'm sorry. I am not religious. Do religions teach that we are it? I don't want to know. The people that bark religion and believe in aliens are the religious! Rebelling. Yes, aliens don't make sense to me on a spiritual level (I said nothing about spirituality in class, and still). Nature imitates itself. Stars are born and die. Forming stars also resemble images of a human egg. Orgasms are Big Bangs. Sneezes are Big Bangs. I still don't know what hiccups are. Read/Post Comments (4) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
