Went for WIC tickets today. It was my first plunge into battling society with three kids in tow. Rachel had the day off and thank goodness because she is still not well. Poor little one. I am so enjoying my kids I can't even tell you, but I'm supposed to tell you, this is a blog.

Little one sat in a stroller and right away wanted out. "Rachel, please push him." No problem. It's a big empty hallway of an old school building. Lloyd sat okay while I filled out paperwork. Here's me, fine, but worried that things could get out of hand. I calmy became willing to accept the worst, which made me smile. Been doing that a lot the past two days. The first time Cool and the Gang, that's us, were called in to begin the process, the helpful lady gave the kids each a soft, squooshy ball, and I gave her about 10 Al-Anon booklets for clients. She took a copy herself. Oooh, I got chills just now.

Back into the hallway to wait for the nutritionist, Lloyd now armed with a weapon of fun, the kids acted how I did not expect. I packed books and quiet, sit-down toys, but they were being rambunctious and silly. Out of hand. That's right, out of my hands. I went along with it. So what if it bothered anybody. If it did, it was supposed to for their own good. My kids were nice and polite to everyone. The baby was mostly okay in the stroller. I put him on the other side of the office door and played peek-a-boo. You just can't resist waving a hand out high but peeking down low and watching him looking up until he sees ya down there and laughs. I sang them a book out loud. I sang in a quiet hallway in front of all the other moms and kids.

Lloyd didn't cry when they pricked his finger to check his iron. Dallas couldn't forgive me until I took his bandaid off. Lloyd's over 28 pounds, little bro is over 24. They need to eat more veggies and brush their teeth a second time each day. I was given a long list of phone numbers for help. There's a lot of helpful people out there, *you guys included*

I told Aaron he could come by to end his auctions. I didn't see him. I had put his social security card, spare car key, and his AA and Free Clinic info in his slippers down by the basement steps. He came in and left through the garage. I have to sell about 20 Pre-Colombian artifacts myself. I've never done this before. Should be interesting. A lot of things should be interesting.
