Lloyd is in preschool now, so HOORAY for me and for one little introspective boy not getting jostled around and accused of toy taking for two hours three days a week!

The lineup for film class is this, chosen by yours truly, from my own collection:

Week 2 compare and contrast two movies of different genres, released around the same time. My choices: Traffic (2000) and Being John Malkovich (1999).

Week 3 compare and contrast two movies of the same genre released at different times. My choices: Logan's Run (1976) and The Island (2005).

Week 4 compare and contrast a movie and its remake. My choice is Cape Fear (1962, 1991), though I do have to queue the original one.

Week 5 is a team assignment: analyze a movie. I was pulling for American Beauty but the team settled on Love Actually, which many of us have never seen, so I'm not sure what the deal is there. I said fine because I like Liam Neeson. Whatever. You should have seen the girl who suggested it's other movie choices. That's all I'm saying. I hope it's good.

Did I ever mention that I hate being in school at this point in my life? I have 8.76 credits left to earn. I feel like dropping out. World Mythology is next, and then Cultural Diversity. I have a 3.77, fairly enjoyable classes now, and a burning desire to hurt everybody for all the responsibilities my aching arms have to juggle. But I don't. I can be angry without being mean, which is one of the greatest things I learned this year.

And finally, last night while reading books to Lloyd he was admiring his (Rachel's) bedsheets. 'Flower. Bed. Is this a flowerbed, mama?'
