Apparently she managed to get her car stuck. In her own driveway. She called her mom for help. Then her mom got stuck right behind her. My husband said no thanks, he didn't feel like getting stuck in her driveway too.
Plus he hurt his back last week. And his car needs to be dug out from the snow and the driveway isn't shoveled, which could take a good 40 minutes. We're buried in two feet of white! And the combo of white everything plus sunshine is too much for the eyes. A venture out of the house means that one way or another a headache would ensue. So the kids asked to revisit the Halloween costumes. I told the three-year old I'd tell him where they are in October. Funny to see more of the witch Rachel's legs than last Halloween. Just went through her drawers again this morning to rid of small clothes--we don't do belly shirts, to her dismay. I'm feeling the weekend with all three kids. The snow kept the older two home instead of going to my in-laws for the Saturday sleepover. Oh, spoiled me. Rachel is getting Lloyd ready to head outside. I forgot that it's just me who'd rather stay in. So what the Jones' cleared their cars and driveways. We've got an igloo! No, I promised hubby I'd do the shoveling because he's injured. What was I thinking? Got a blow torch I could borrow? And I've got one last paper to write due this evening!!! I can't believe it! February of 2004 I began while pregnant with Lloyd. I thought I couldn't manage it; school was stealing time away from being a mom to Rachel. I stuck it out and here I am four years later: no job, a broken car, three kids, snowed-in. Nah, just kidding. Life is good. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
