And topping off crap mountain it's my dad's birthday. I suppose I should call him. Haven't talked to him since x-mas. I do have a slight problem with the b-day card he sent my sister in February. No money and obviously not bought by my Hallmark-sensitive dad. I don't know if I ever told about his impromptu marriage back in December. He married his fourth-grade sweetheart after seeing her at a grade school reunion. Bizarre as hell. The guy works like a machine, he's had the same job forever, spends money on nothing, and can totally afford $40 on his daughters' birthdays every year. After all, he didn't send us to college.

It's her birthday next week. My mom was right that my dad wants to have a family get-together to celebrate. My sister told me--my dad asked her but she can't come. When she asked him if he was still inviting me he said probably not and nevermind. I wouldn't have gone anyway.
