2001-07-10 12:21 PM We are Us Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Introspeculated Are we us? I work by the airport. Thousands of "us" arrive and leave here everyday--from my office window , I see the planes landing and taking off every 30 seconds. We fly in planes, walk around hallways and drive down streets, shop at malls, talk on phones. We buy products, eat bright snacks, watch ads, run businesses. We listen to music and commercials, look at the opposite sex and drip, run up and down bleacher steps. We leave messages, vacuum, bar-b-q, throw balls. We sit, stand, run, rest, talk, talk, talk, and talk. But here I sit, in the comfort of my own room, wondering if "we" are going to be "us" any time soon. It seems everyone is wondering something else. I guess they are them and I am me and we may not be us after all. Thank you, goodnight.
