I am also a collection of memories. Everything else changes and it does so very quickly. None of the cells in my body are the same as they were just a year ago. But I continue to be bombarded by perceptions and my memories continue to accumulate at a suprising rate. I've been having a lot of interesting memories resurge in the past few days . . . police brutality, jail, heart surgery, heart surgery again, lawsuits, car accidents, hospitalization, death, love, loss. These are the things that make me who I am. I am making more memories everyday, some of which I will remember cognitively and others which will only present themselves in dreams, but all of which are forming the individual I will be. But there is more. There is expression. Memory is the key to the individual, but expression is the key to overcoming the individual and becoming the collective. Love thy neighbor by giving them your memory using your greatest talent. Memory makes you you, but expression makes you love.
