A number of years ago I was pondering what I learned from my many years of attending Catholic School and Mass (every Sunday) of Jesus the Christ befriending the 'lowest of the low' - including prostitutes - and was struck by the reality that while many Americans profess the USA to be a Christian nation as a society we look down on prostitutes - I don't think it would be a stretch that as a general rule they could be considered to be our modern lepers.

With that in mind today I read an article in the local paper about The Magdalene Project which I found inspirational.
