A Gift from my Mother

Years ago my mother gave me a box containing various items she'd saved from the years I lived with her - roughly from birth through 8th grade.

Included in this were photos, primarily school photos but a couple of others as well.

Last week I began perusing the photos with the intent of better understanding where I am by understanding from where I've come. It's an ongoing activity and at the same time some genuine "Oh, I had completely forgotten about that" experiences have occurred.

I think my mom saving these items for me is one of the greatest gifts she could give me and I encourage all mothers to think about how, in this digital age, you can do the same for your son's and daughter's.

It may be hard to believe now but something you do today may help your child in their growth 30-plus years from now.
