Listening to... Bridget Jones' Diary

Wrote a first real pass at the synopsis, putting bits and pieces together from the past couple of weeks. Got nine pages done, didn't hate them - except the last three brought an element in I hadn't expected, and it turned the novel too "sweet" - so after a break and some mind-numbing TV, I tossed those three pages out and wrote four more, bringing my synopsis up to ten pages and my page total for the day to 13. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.

The women in my online chapter of RWA call a synopsis a 'sucknopsis' because the writing of such just sucks. It fits, I think, and have decided to add that word to my personal vocabulary.

So, it's off to Jenn now, and I don't have to think about it again until tomorrow. But I still need to finish cleaning up my desk, and starting on a sucknopsis for Cinderella's daughter, and oh yeah - a shower would be sweet.

You know, the showering thing in the morning - I think that's the only thing I miss about working full time. Having to make the time to shower.

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
