Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing. |

2004-01-29 9:12 PM Progress Pages Written... 3?
Listening to... the dryer Exercise Done... 25 mins Yoga Some progress was made today. I still don't hate what I did earlier, and indeed got positive feedback from Jenn at our meeting on Wednesday which is a Good Thing. Messed around some, got to know a couple of my characters better, added depth/dimension to the first 15 pages. I know, it's not much - but if you don't do it right, get the first few pages solid and right and complete so you can build upon them, then the whole is a house of cards that you have to shore up from the beginning again. And that's tough, 'cause I've done it before. And will undoubtedly do it again. But I really don't want to with this one. I want it whole, solid, a firm foundation upon which to build the story and therefore the novel. So. That's what I've been up to. As well as making lunches and dinners and taking care of sick kids and ferrying them to school and soccer and and and... It's a process. Layer upon layer, a book is built. Just as layer upon layer, a life is built. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it isn't, but the creation is always something breathtaking to be a part of. Now I've finished with 'Michelangelo and the Pope's Ceiling', and I've finished with 'The Girl with the Pearl Earring'. (The first is awesome, the second simple - most undoubtedly will make a beautiful film.) Must go. The natives are restless. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
