Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing. |

2004-05-04 5:17 PM Scary Time Pages Written... 5 so far
Listening to... George Michael (oh, get over it already!) Exercise Done... 2 miles run/walk, 20 mins abs/back Okay. I looked at the calendar, looked at what I've done so far, and realized I need to write 50 pages a week for the entire month of May. Gulp. I've got ten pages written for this week so far, but that's not a good thing as this is TUESDAY. Five pages a day isn't going to cut my self-imposed deadline. As well, I'm trying to eat better (South Beach diet - following their stages but not meal plans, just avoiding flour and sugar and alcohol. Yeah - really hard!) and exercise more, since I'm tired of having that over-40 gut that so many men and women get. I figure if I can stay disciplined in one area, it'll help in the other areas. So we'll see. The problem I'm currently having is that nothing feels urgent in the story - still laying groundwork and that takes a couple chapters at least. So I guess, now that I'm in the middle of chapter 4, I should ratchet up the tension, hey? But I'm REALLY catching on to finding and eradicating passive tense in my writing. Man, that stuff is harder to get rid of than chewing gum in the carpet. So that's where I am. The kids get out of school in six weeks give or take a day. Onward.
