My youngest son went for a spin around the block on his scooter, helmet on head. Unfortunately, he hit something - the scooter went one way, he went the other, and his lower back hit the edge of a brick wall as did his elbow. He'll now have two nice road-rash scars on his elbow instead of one. His knees got off lightly as did his hands.

Neighbors rushed out with wet paper towels and a phone, so he could call me. He wasn't far, but when he asked me to bring the car I tell you, my heart leaped into my throat.

Poor kid - he's bandaged, and had tylenol, but is in bed and still crying; he's still hurting. I'm at a loss as to what to do. I can't even hug him, he's so fragile. I'm just hoping the tylenol kicks in soon.

Oh, and we got word that hubby's Mom is going into a rehab center, and they aren't going to do surgery because they don't think it will help. My sis-in-law has vertigo, and my bro-in-law has to put a family dog down. It's been a hell of a week so far.
