Oh my - if you haven't seen the movie Shaolin Soccer, directed by Stephen Chow, run, don't walk to your nearest video store and rent it! Its the funniest thing - best for those who a) like martial arts films b) like soccer and c) like a really wry twist on both.

We just finished it, and loved it, all four of us.

Rincon was fabulous, as it always is. Crowded today but we managed to find a spot to park, and a great stretch of sand. And at about five, people cleared out so we had the beach almost to ourselves for an hour or so, which was grand.

The boys (all 3) made a sand castle, which I decorated with crennelations of the sand variation. Hubby said it looked like a mosque with all the curlicues.

We stayed forever, came home sunburned and sand-filled and peaceful. Tomorrow starts the orientations to the new schools. We go back to the beach Wednesday afternoon and Friday afternoon, and probably Saturday as well. Final farewells to a summer all too short.
