Pages Written... 4

There was a howling yowling this morning, and a thump that sounded like it came from the living room. Hubby and I both jumped out of bed and rushed down the hallway, but no cat. It must have happened outside, beneath our bedroom window.

The time was 3:45. I've been awake since then. I laid in bed, thinking at first about nothing much. Then my new story started creeping in. Then my tummy started rumbling. At 4:45 I got up to write and eat. Managed the writing, didn't remember to do the eating, darn it. Went back to bed at 5:15. Got up for good at 5:45, still hungry. This time drank some raspberry tea and ate a toasted bagel. Tummy happy, but I don't want to go back to bed again, because I'd have to get up way too fast to make it worth while.

It's colder now at night. Time to strip the thin sheets off the kids' beds and put the flannel sheets on. They'll be toasty tonight, which will be exceedingly necessary after the outdoor rehearsal at the Huntington.

Yeah. The family is doing 2 pieces by Gorey for the Huntington's Halloween Happening. There will also be a bunch of Poe going on that night. We're just praying it doesn't rain.
