Christine's New Chapter

Was shopping in the grocery store tonight for goodies for tomorrow night, when I realized I hadn't bought tonight's dinner yet.

So I moved over to the carnivore section and perused. And found, to my surprise, tri-tip on huge discount - usually 5.99 a pound was down to 2.99 a pound. Great deal - but how in heck do you cook tri-tip? and is not-quite two pounds enough for a family of four?

Luckily a woman was standing nearby, also looking at the tri-tip. So I asked. And she was amazingly forthcoming. Told me to marinate in my favorite marinade, then plop on a low grill for an hour, turning only once. That'll give you a nice, medium-rare tri-tip. And it's thin-sliced, so feeds a family of four nicely.

We women take care of each other, is all I could feel. Either that, or everyone likes being an expert, or teaching other people.

Don't care. Works for me!
