Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

Poppies and Pictures

Pages Written... 2?
Listening to... guitar music
Exercise Done... 1 hour aerobics, 1 hour yoga (ugh)

Braved the rain to take the kids to school today. By the time I headed out to the gym, the rain had stopped - big sigh of relief from me, as I had tennies on. During aerobics, however, a storm cell came over and I swear just sat at the Bally's I was in. It poured buckets outside and I was sweating buckets inside - not having taken class for a month showed today, big time. But at least I didn't faint.

Home again, and email, and some reading, lunch and TV and then some writing. Picked up the youngest, and by the time we got home it was more or less dry - no rain at all though some scary-dude clouds above. So I rolled up my pants legs, grabbed the poppy seeds, and waded through the back yard to Yazger's Hill where I scattered seeds all over the place. Either the birds will eat them, or they'll root - both are fine, as I had a heck of a lot of poppy seed.

Managed to get some scattered in the front yard, too so that was good.

But the water level was above the mallow (gee, sounds much better than weeds, don't it?!) in the back yard, and where the path went to my secret garden the water had to be four inches deep. I checked the hoses, and they're both flowing well down the gutter so hopefully with this respite from rain the hoses can do their job.

But we just checked weather dot com...and the cell that's coming toward us now is almost as big as the state of California is long, if you get my meaning.

We are safe, but people have died in this storm. People are missing. The tsunami on Christmas Day was horrible, but it was Over There. This storm damage is Right Here.

And for some stupid reason, that makes a difference.

That said, here's a place to go to - look at the before and after Tsunami Pictures . The wonders of satellite photography.
