Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing. |

2005-01-14 7:22 PM Twenty Pages. Pages Written... 20
Listening to... Pink Martini Exercise Done... Belly dancing to Pink Martini (after a glass of wine) Well, did my time at B&N today while waiting the fate of the van. Luckily enough, it DID start this morning, so we didn't need to have it towed to the mechanic (always a good thing). But when I turned it off in their driveway, it wouldn't start again. The electrical went out completely because they couldn't even put the darn thing into neutral to push the car forward. Turns out there's an oil leak (which, duh, we knew about as it's been eating oil) - and the oil got into the starter, thereby ruining it (and shorting it out). We just replaced the starter 7 months ago, so it's still under warranty and our mechanic is going to try to get a new one at no charge. We'll see. Either way, to find the leak itself calls for dropping the manifold and removing the engine - $600 estimate. Ouch. But on the good side, hubby figures that I can continue to write and not get part time work until September - unless he DOES qualify for SAG insurance again, in which case I can stay home, or unless I do sell a book or two - in which case I can stay home. To that end, I wrote 20 pages today on the category romance. I'm HALF WAY DONE! Whew! The good part is its a lot of dialog, and needs fleshing out - emotion, place, etc. etc. etc. So that 20 pages could end up being 25 at the end of rewrites. I told Jenn today on the phone that I wanted to finish this book and send it off to Toronto before I left for Paris. Said I only needed to write 12 pages a day for ten days and it would be basically done (for a clean first draft). I sensed some doubt in her tone as she humored me... But the secret is B&N and having no car. If I do THAT for five days, I can get this sucker done and have time for a rewrite! So as of right now, that is seriously under consideration for next week's agenda. A lack of an internet connection is a good thing in some circumstances. Really.
