Met with Samantha, the artist's representative, tonight. Gave her dinner. Buttered her up with a coffee drink, champagne, wine, etc.

She LOVED hubby's distorted paintings. Wants more of them. Nine more, to be exact, and mentioned a hothothot market for them. (NOT Lulu's. Apparently his work is too - um - not pedestrian enough - ? - for Lulu's. Hee!)

She talked about Glicees, and how much money a good artist can make off of them. Surreal, really. She even wants his abstracts, which she can sell (in larger size) in diptychs or triptychs. So we'll see how much he can do this year.

But she was overwhelmed with his Arezzo painting, and the one of Hamlet's Funeral. So that's awfully exciting.

I think we've got a new best friend. Just hope it leads to some serious money in the long run. Because that would be very nice, indeed.

And, of course, about as usual as selling a novel.
