Christine's New Chapter
Never look down...

DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.

Exercise Done... Shopped for hours

And if you don't think shopping is exercise, YOU try holding your stomach in for 3 hours straight!

Sheesh.

So, w/hubby's blessing and cash, I managed to find several nice things at the big Robinson's May sale, though to be sure nothing was on the 75% off rack. (My legs are tired. It's good exercise for Paris, I figure.)

Got home after grocery shopping and picking up younger son...and notice the exhaust hood over the stove is dripping around the edges. Which means we've got a roof leak near the vent...sigh.

Listened to the messages, and elder son has a spot on tournament soccer! Which is fantastic, but they want a check for $250 the first meeting, which is next Thursday. Ulp.

And then, younger son turned on his computer this afternoon to play, and heard a loud CRACK! He turned it off, checked the plugs, turned it back on, CRACK! turned it off, got teary eyed, and came in to see me. I told him to leave it until his brother got home...well, turns out the computer is fine, but the monitor it toast. Sigh.

Emailed all the woes to the hubby, who called an hour or so later and said to a) toss the monitor and move the spare from his desk over; b) get out the tarp and weights and stack them by the ladder, so he could cover the vent on the roof; and c) hasn't a clue as to how to pay for the tournament team thingy.

I tossed the monitor, elder son moved the other monitor over, I went on roof with said tarp and bricks and rocks and covered the vent so hubby wouldn't have to, and we still don't know what to do about the tournament thingy.

And I have some good clothes that I can wear for years. Even if it did take for bloody ever to find them.

So, no writing today. I have tomorrow and Sunday to get roughly 15 pages in (or, rather, to finish the darn book). Tomorrow I have two - or is it five? people coming over for cassoulet. Must remember to make bread.

And in ten days we leave for Paris.
