Currently Reading... A Wild Sheep Chase by Haruki Murakami (thanks to Jenn!)

This is a busy week. Tonight and Thursday night I have AYSO meetings (hey! I get a polo shirt with my name embroidered on it, cool!), tomorrow I get the possible new van checked out by the new mechanic, thursday and friday I start packing the new popup.

New popup? Yep! While I was in Reno, hubby drove a friend's truck to Las Vegas to take a look at a 2004 Taos popup. It had sold on ebay - twice - and both times the sale fell through, so they contacted us privately. We got an EXCELLENT price - less than half of what it went for brand new - and it's only been used a couple of times. Night and day difference from our last one, which was manufactured in 1963 and had heavy army canvas for the sides. It will make camping so much nicer this year!

So, there's all the stuff involved with that, learning how it works, figuring out how to pack it (not much room, unfortunately), and making sure all our other gear is in good working order. Unlike one memorable year, when one of the kids took out all the batteries from the flashlights, but didn't bother to put new batteries back in. (d'oh!)

We leave at 5am on Saturday morning. I can't wait to get to Mammoth Lakes - the trees, the river, the fishing, the peace.

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
