We thought we had the car thing down. A call to AAA and a hit over to the local mechanic - no problem. Except he doesn't work weekends and so, the parts aren't available until Monday.

Sigh.

And I have a 2pm interview on Monday, which I CAN'T MISS. So I'll just take hubby to work, we thought. Because young son has a 3:30pm dental appt he can't miss (last one on insurance), and older son has a soccer game at 6pm. I can pick up hubby somewhere in between there, somehow.

Except.

Hubby got a callback for a commercial on Monday. At 2pm. In Santa Monica. Far, *far* away from Simi.

Sigh. The search for help is on.

One friend is going downtown to give a Japanese tea ceremony. It's been put off three times already - so she can't help.

The nurses are both working. And the cars... *shakes head*.

Our dear friend Paul has a second car - but alas, it remains uninsured - non-operative, so I can't drive it. Legally, anyway, and hope to be covered if there's an accident.

But I've managed to coerce - I mean, convince, a friend to let me borrow her car after she gets to work. That way I can get to my interview, get to my son's dental appt and my other son's game, and get back to her in Moorpark to pick her up so she can drop me off at the mechanic's before 7pm.

Logistics, hell. That's a Mom in Action.

In other news, I've been working on this film project thingy. It's kinda writing itself - I think it'll end up a book alongside it being a film.
