Christine's New Chapter

I have hopes for next year. I'm trying not to have high hopes at this point. But the good news is, I'm *not* running for President of my local RWA chapter.

The relief is tremendous. I had hard pressure yesterday and today from friends to change my mind and run anyway - and I held firm. This is what I need, to pull away from this group from an administrative perspective and just be a member. Not in charge.

That way, I can live my life, work included, and write.

Write! I so long for the time when that becomes a treat, a goodie I can reward myself with.

I've got my schedule for next week and I'm working 31 hours...not bad for a part time person. I've got all day tuesday and all day Saturday free...then most of the day wednesday and thursday free as well, though I have to work both evenings.

And I'm holding myself back from running out and buying the mini iPod tomorrow as a consolation gift for going back to work. I don't want the Nano, even though flash memory is almost bullet proof compared to a mini hard drive. The Nano is too damn small, physically, for me - I'd lose it, most likely. And hubby wants me to really look for something that's bullet proof, and to get the biggest memory for backup purposes (not just songs!). That might be more $$ than I want to spend.

Another issue, I want to be able to run with whatever I get. Is perhaps another model better? Mostly, I'll be using it to write with...or on an airplane...or when exercising.

Does anyone have any feedback from personal experience?

Christine's New Chapter Never look down... DEMON SOUL was released in MARCH, 2011 by Crescent Moon Press. DEMON HUNT will most likely be released 2012. This, then, is my new reality! The tumor has been removed and I'm recovering, so now it's all about the writing...and dealing with the writing.
