I've reached a point in this current job of mine where I'm ready to leave. I'm done, over it.

Now, leaving a perfectly okay job just before Christmas is just not the thing to do, so I'm gritting my teeth, putting a good face on it and doing my job with as much good humor as I possibly can.

I think the acid in me that wants to come out at work is being diverted into my writing, because I started something new.

Something that I can't categorize. Yes, this bothered me for awhile, but I've decided I can't worry about it. I mean, I'm only 13 pages into it. How invested can I possibly be? Once it's got some heft to it, I'll decide where it goes from there. In the meantime, I'm having a blast.

I guess good ideas really can come from working until 3:30am and writing until almost 5am...

In other news, we've decided to drive to Mom & Dad's house tomorrow, early, since the freeways are all totally messed up. I'm hoping at 5am they'll be clear - but we'll see! Especially since I'm doing the cooking. It would be nice not to have to eat and run back home...
