I am determined to not fall into the trap I did the last time I got laid off. Not showering, not dressing in anything but sweats, feeling like crap and not doing anything of any consequence for about a year. Screw that crap!

So, yesterday to get a head start, I filed for unemployment online. Yes...ONLINE! Easy! No two hour wait in a stuffy building with smelly, sweaty, nervous people. (Oh wait, that was me...) Just twenty minutes at my computer, and everything was done. Whew! Now all I have to do is wait. For something to happen. We'll see.

And as the winds were a-blowing, I took youngest son to school, so am at my Coffee Bean office earlier than usual! Woo!

I've decided a daily goal of 2000 words is not unreachable. It's just slightly more than 50K a month, which I managed during NaNo with a full time job. This will also give me time to get work done around the house, work that has not gotten done since there's no time.

So hopefully I'll at least have the freedom of no real job until I get a novel or two finished. A couple of months, at the least. It's not too much to ask.
