With the money I'll be spending on a root canal and a new crown, I could have gone to RWA's national conference in Washington, D.C. this year.

Sigh.

It took forever for the three shots of novocaine to dissipate. I was numb from the middle of my lips all the way to my right earlobe - a very weird sensation, let me tell you! It took forever to go away.

And the pain keeps coming back. Last night I couldn't get the vicodin in my body fast enough, though I had to wait until bedtime.

Today it'll be ibuprofen.

But I am feeling mostly pain free. Next week I get the new filling and probably a crown - we'll see what the dentist ends up doing. My current crown is actually an overlay and it's got a crack between it and my tooth - so I don't know what he'll end up doing.

We'll see.

Okay, back to work. I'm almost done with the boy book, after which I'll send it to my reader for feedback. I'd like to get all four books editor-ready before I go back to part time work. We'll see how disciplined I end up being, lol.
