It's hot. 102 hot the past couple days. My tomatoes love the heat, but the rest of my plants? Not so much.

Not to mention, I wilt easy, too.

Hubby's been doing fixit things around the house. One son hasn't had lights in his room for a year - so he fixed that. Then a lighting fixture out back needed a new support hook. And we're still peeling paint off the boy's bathroom walls and sanding down all the rest. I hope to tape tomorrow and actually start painting on Tuesday. We'll see.

Elder son and I start a sketch writing class tomorrow night in Hollywood. Ugh. I am, and I'm not, looking forward to it. THe class should be interesting. Driving to and from Hollywood, not so much.

But it's six Mondays, and we'll be missing one of those in August, so not bad.

I'm trying to make some areas of the back yard attractive. Which means a lot of sweat and doghair. But I have guests coming for dinner on Saturday, and I'd like the place to be presentable.

We shall see.
